«My skin is so important»

Skin is a major organ of the body, since it is its protective envelop. It protects it from external aggressions like sun, wind, cold. Skin is also a complex system which plays an essential part in immune protection. A good skin is a sign of health. It also reflects the body's internal balance.

« My skin, such a long history ... »

Skin is a heritage! It shows to others our personal history, our roots.

« What is a dry skin?" »

First of all, a dry skin is characterized by feelings of itching and tugging. Since it has lost its elasticity and softness, it becomes uncomfortable and rough. Dry skin, reactive and sensitive, can have rednesses, little wrinkles. At the cell level, specific lipids are deeply involved in the balance of the hydro-lipidic barrier necessary to skin hydration. The decrease of these lipids accelerates the water loss and causes skin dryness.

« To hydrate my skin, I protect it from outside and I nourish it from inside »

To protect the skin means being careful to it all over the year:

Utilising daily hydrating cosmetics and dermatological cares.

Using sun protections when going out in the sun and following the advices of dermatologists.

Nourishing the skin from inside consolidates it in depth: drinking between 1.5 and 2 litres of water each day. Having a well-balanced diet which brings in vitamins and lipids central to the skin.

Completing the diet with food supplements or functional foods with a hydrating aim.

Ceramides:

rare lipids forming the intercellular cement, they enable skin hydration.

DGDG:

rare lipid which acts in synergy with the ceramides to hydrate the skin.

Intercellular cement:

thanks to its high level of ceramides, it enables the cohesion between skin cells. It also avoids the loss of water responsible for the skin dryness.

Hydro-lipidic barrier:

structure of the skin composed of lipids, which regulates the water content of the skin.
